This will save a lot of headaches.
The last thing you want is team members racing into something they don’t full understand.
What type of cars can you get?
Full electric cars are going to give you the best savings because they have the lowest benefit in kind rate.
Plug in hybrid cars are going to be more expensive because they have a higher benefit in kind rate which varies from car to car.
If you are getting a hybrid, check how much you will be paying in benefit in kind tax.
Petrol, diesel and other types of hybrid are not worth it through salary sacrifice.
Does it effect employees pensions?
We would recommend setting it up so their pension isn’t affected so it is a genuinely valuable perk for your team.
